HUDSON, OH, Oct. 30, 2026 - Open Practice, a leading provider of medical billing and practice management software, launched Minerva earlier this summer, an AI assistant built directly into OpenPM. Easily accessible, Minerva lets users get billing and system answers without leaving the platform.
Minerva’s answers are generated from the OpenPM Knowledge Base, the library of help articles and documentation that supports the software. Billers with questions have traditionally searched through articles or reached out to support. With Minerva, users ask a question and receive a summarized answer in seconds. Each response includes links to the Knowledge Base articles used as sources, so users can see her work and dig into the full details. Minerva also saves each conversation and names it automatically, so billers can revisit earlier answers in their chat history.
“I came in looking for a cross code, and got news that Minerva can help me... Heck, Minerva did all the work and I get the credit,” said one executive of an RCM organization.
Minerva is designed as a faster first step rather than a replacement for human support. She draws only from Knowledge Base documentation and does not access live system data or account-specific information yet. The OpenPM support team remains available for complex issues as usual.
