Meet Buzz Buurma, Open Practice’s beloved Chief Happiness Officer! Since joining the team in 2022, Buzz has made it his mission to keep stress levels low and smiles high. He began his career specializing in employee stress relief—offering much-needed laughter, wagging-tail therapy, and the occasional “pet me, please” break during the workday.

After graduating from dog training school (with honors in Sit, Stay, and Fetch), Buzz transitioned to his true calling: Happiness Management. Recognizing the need for a dedicated approach to joy, he proudly founded the Happiness Team at Open Practice, where he leads by example—sniffing out opportunities for fun, boosting morale, and inspiring team members to “paws” and enjoy the little moments.

Outside the office, Buzz enjoys chasing tennis balls, indulging in long walks on crisp evenings, and spending quality time with friends and family. He resides in Hudson, Ohio, with his humans, Scott and Leah, where he continues to perfect his craft as a loyal companion, playful pup, and all-around good boy.
