Standing 42 feet tall on the northwestern corner of the Green, the Hudson Clocktower is the unmistakable symbol of our hometown. Built in 1912 as a gift from town benefactor James W. Ellsworth, it was originally conceived as a drinking fountain for people, horses, and even dogs!
Today, it is a landmark of stability and tradition. If you visit us during the holidays, you’ll see our favorite local tradition: a small Christmas mouse perched on the tower, making its annual "climb" as the community gathers for the season.
For us at Open Practice, the Clocktower represents the same values we bring to our software: reliability, transparency, and a deep commitment to the community we serve.

The Vibe: Located in the historic Higbee Building (a Cleveland landmark), it’s a high-energy spot for networking.
Pro-Tip: It’s a 5-minute walk from the Hilton. Even if you aren't a gambler, the architecture of the old department store is worth seeing.
The "Intellectual Break": Great Lakes Science Center
The Vibe: Right on the water next to the Rock Hall. It’s perfect for a "brain break" or if you brought your family along to Cleveland.
Highlight: The NASA Glenn Visitor Center is inside.

Rising Star Coffee Roasters (The Old Arcade): This is inside a stunning 1890s shopping center just a few blocks from the Hilton. It’s the ultimate “Cleveland architecture” moment.

The "Networking Hubs" (East 4th & Drinks)
East 4th Street: It’s a pedestrian-only street about a 10-minute walk from the Hilton.
The Butcher and the Brewer: Massive space, great for groups of NSCHBC Members! Opens at 4pm.
Society Lounge: A high-end speakeasy vibe, perfect for a sophisticated "deal-closing" cocktail. Opens at 5pm.
Eden Rooftop Lounge: Since it's June, this is a must (bring a jacket!). It’s on top of The 9 and offers the best skyline views in the city. Opens at 4pm.
The "Quick Uber" Excursions
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame: It’s actually walkable (about 12 minutes), but a 3-minute Uber ride. The new expansion is a great place to clear your head between sessions.
The Flats East Bank: A 5-minute Uber down the hill.
The Lakehouse for waterfront dining and a high-energy atmosphere.
West Side Market (Ohio City): A 7-minute Uber across the bridge. It’s a food mecca. Grab a crepe or a "Steve's Gyro" if you have an hour to kill. Closed Tuesdays.
