Our Roots: The Hudson Clocktower
Standing 42 feet tall on the northwestern corner of the Green, the Hudson Clocktower is the unmistakable symbol of our hometown. Built in 1912 as a gift from town benefactor James W. Ellsworth, it was originally conceived as a drinking fountain for people, horses, and even dogs!
Today, it is a landmark of stability and tradition. If you visit us during the holidays, you’ll see our favorite local tradition: a small Christmas mouse perched on the tower, making its annual "climb" as the community gathers for the season.
For us at Open Practice, the Clocktower represents the same values we bring to our software: reliability, transparency, and a deep commitment to the community we serve.

The Daytime Escape (Culture & Brain Breaks)
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame
The Vibe: Cleveland’s most iconic landmark. The new expansion is the perfect, inspiring place to walk through and clear your head between intensive educational sessions.
Distance: A 12-minute walk or a 3-minute Uber ride.
Great Lakes Science Center
The Vibe: Located right next door to the Rock Hall on the water. Great for a quick brain break to explore the NASA Glenn Visitor Center.
Greater Cleveland Aquarium
The Vibe: Located in a historic 1890s brick powerhouse, featuring an impressive walk-through underwater seatube.
Distance: A 6-minute Uber down into the Flats.
Post-Session Vibes (Breweries & Casual Bites)
Noble Beast Brewing Co.
The Vibe: A local hidden gem just off the main tourist drag. Excellent craft beer and a slightly quieter atmosphere, making it the perfect spot for a serious business conversation.
Distance: A short walk or a 3-minute Uber from the Hilton.
Southern Tier Brewery Cleveland
The Vibe: A massive, high-energy indoor taproom and street-side patio right in the central arena district. Known for big, purposeful craft flavors and great shareable plates.
Distance: A straight, walkable 10 minutes away on Prospect Ave.
Networking Hubs (East 4th Street)
East 4th Street: It’s a pedestrian-only street about a 10-minute walk from the Hilton. The ideal landing spot for group dinners.
The Butcher and the Brewer: Massive space, great for groups of NSCHBC Members! Opens at 4pm.
Society Lounge: A high-end speakeasy vibe, perfect for a sophisticated "deal-closing" cocktail. Opens at 5pm.
Worth the Uber (Neighborhood Excursions)
7-minute Uber ride across the river.
West Side Market: A legendary, historic indoor food mecca. Grab a fresh crepe or a world-famous "Steve's Gyro" if you have an hour to kill. Note: Closed Tuesdays.
Market Garden Brewery: Located right next door to the West Side Market. If you take the Uber over to the market, head here immediately afterward to sit in their massive, multi-level outdoor beer garden and grab a Citramax IPA.
Great Lakes Brewing Company: The historic grandfather of Cleveland craft beer. Grab a classic Dortmunder Gold and relax on their legendary neighborhood patio.
Destination: The Flats East Bank (Waterfront Dining)
5-minute Uber ride down the hill.
The Lakehouse: High-energy, waterfront dining right on the Cuyahoga River. Excellent place to watch the barges pass by while grabbing dinner.
Cultural Flair & Night Out
Playhouse Square
The Vibe: The largest performing arts center in the US outside of New York. Even though the theaters are dark this week, it is still worth a drive-by to see the world's largest outdoor GE chandelier hanging right over the intersection. It's a spectacular, quintessential Cleveland photo op.
Little Italy
The Vibe: A historic, incredibly charming neighborhood packed with authentic, old-school Italian bakeries, galleries, and legendary trattorias. Grab an incredible dinner at Presti's Bakery or Corbo's for a world-class cannoli.
Distance: A bit off the beaten path, but a straight 12-to-15-minute Uber ride east down Euclid Avenue.
The Cleveland Museum of Art (University Circle)
The Vibe: Internationally renowned, world-class museum that is entirely free to the public. A gorgeous marble atrium awaits. Distance: 12-minute Uber.
JACK Cleveland Casino
The Vibe: Located in the historic, beautifully preserved Higbee Building. A high-energy spot for table games or a late-night cocktail after the official evening receptions close.
Distance: A quick, well-lit 5-minute walk from the hotel.
